The dzԹ is governed by a Board of Governors, appointed by a Selection Committee formed by the Federation of Saskatchewan Indian Nations Education and Training Commission.
According to An Act Respecting the dzԹ (Part IV), the Board of Governors is made up of nine (9) members: eight (8) voting members and one (1) non-voting chairperson.
In addition to the Board of Governors, two (2) Elders as non-voting advisors, one (1) male and one (1) female, are appointed by the Elders Advisory Council. Other non-voting observers to the Board of Governors include one (1) dzԹ student and one (1) dzԹ faculty member.
