Whatyou will be doing:
Youth CARE provides front line services to adolescents ages 11-19. Services include after-school drop-in activities, meal service, and evening program activities. The summer student will assist Youth CARE staff in the delivery of these services. Tasks will include: creating a safe and accepting environment, direct interaction with youth, program planning, supervision of youth, and assisting with group activities such as canoeing, hiking, swimming, and outdoor recreation.
What you will need:
Two years of combined education and experience relating to the position. One year facilitation experience.
What you will need:
Knowledge about adolescent development, a willingness to be physically active in the outdoors, an ability to work withing a team setting. having a valid drivers license is an asset.

This is a Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) funded position and the eligibilitycriteria is: a young Canadian aged 15-30 years. As well, you are looking for a summer work opportunity to explore your career path or develop stronger work skills. You are excited to spend time with youth, enjoy being outdoors, patient with others, able to work flexible hours.
The position is 32 hours (per week), with hours scheduled hours 1:30P.M – 9:30 P.M. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.
